This is an
interesting and unusual model. It features two
identical strips of a landscape with identical
buildings and a forested area. Each strip,
however, shows a different setup of transmission
lines - an older one and a newer, innovative
one. Each setup accurately represents the poles,
distances between them and the way transmission
lines are being run through hills, forest,
residential and commercial zones. The model is
built in 1:500 scale, allowing a sensible level
of detailing. All the buildings were 3D
developed and rapid prototyped. Needless to say,
there was a large amount of model trees spent on
this model. The model is meant for presentations
and trade shows, it is self explanatory and
showing clearly the benefits offered by the
newer transmission lines setup. The model's
quality and accuracy was recognized by the
customer and the viewers. |
