This is a 1:10
scale model/replica of a shroud
manipulator/robotic arm designed by CHL Systems
(www.chlsystems.com).
The model was developed digitally in SolidWorks,
components were rapid prototyped, than assembled
and finished manually. The model is fully
articulated, it performs all the moves that a
real manipulator does - rotating in three points
and tilting. 1/8" stainless steel micro plungers
are embedded in each drum which makes the
rotation smooth and controlled.
The model is mounted on a custom base finished
with rare wood.
Due to the accuracy of the model, high level of
detailing and functionality (articulation) this
replica, created as an executive desktop model,
can be also used for presentations. |
