This model
represents Joint Assault Bridge (JAB) system
mounted on M1 tank chassis.
This time we got a chance to make the model
operational. It is showing bridge deployment
very close to reality, including articulating
hydraulic cylinders. For the purpose of
demonstrating the bridge deployment the model
was mounted on a diorama type base with a
"ravine".
Like our other models, this one was designed and
tested in 3D software. The parts were produced
by rapid prototyping from extra durable
materials, in order for the model to withstand
the frequent touching.
This model was rushed directly from our shop to
the 2016 AUSA Annual Expo, where it take its
place besides our other models. According to the
client, the model received a recognition and
appreciation of the visitors, functioned as
designed, and was easy to operate.
