This is a 1:16
scale Display/Trade Show model of M1A2 Abrams
tank equipped with performance enhancing
applications.
In order to speed up the production and save
money for our client we used a number of
off-shelf parts, which were upgraded and
modified to look worthy of a large scale trade
show model. Custom and customized parts of the
model were developed digitally and produced by
SLA and SLS with some amount of manual
fabrication.
As per customer's request the model's finish
includes slight wear and dust to make the model
more "in action looking".
After digital development and upon receiving the
custom parts the model was produced in a record
time of just 1.5 weeks.
The model is mounted on a mahogany finished base
with clear protective cover and accompanied by
custom transit case.
Right after the completion the model made its
first appearance at 2012 AUSA show in Washington
DC and, along with other model made for the same
client, received recognition and very positive
feedbacks for accuracy, high level of detailing
and presentation value. |
