This
giant 1:6 scale model of up-armored HMMWV was
created in order to present a new compact and
mobile SATCOM antenna mounted on the vehicle.
The model features a highly detailed replica of
SATCOM antenna on a swinging arm, opening trunk
and a tailgate and a hardware inside the trunk
with cables connected to the antenna.
The focus of the
project was on presenting the antenna system and
not a vehicle, therefore level of detailing of
the HMMWV replica is not extremely high.
However, general proportions and main features
of the vehicle's replica are precise in order to
represent accurately interaction between the
vehicle and mounted on it antenna.
The model was
accompanied by custom made transit case with
custom foam lining.
