This is a life-size
model of the Energy Storage Center. It is built
for demonstrating at trade shows and
presentations. The model looks exactly like the
real unit, except it is a model, which is
lightweight, easy to transport and to handle,
yet very durable. For some controls and
indicators we used the actual fixtures, these
which were available off-shelf, other elements
were carefully replicated.
We employed rapid prototyping methods as well as
CNC milling and, of course, traditional
fabrication. The model, accompanied by custom
transit case, was shipped directly to a trade
show in Detroit, where it made a great
impression. |
